Goodbye for now (I think)

I finished packing and...
This is when I realize I’ll be gone for 3 weeks. Which means I won’t be in my house, surrounded by familiar things. My room will be empty and lonely. My brother will be by himself during Christmas. My dog won’t be bothering me. My best friend is going to miss me.
Hmm, this is weird for me. I’ve never been away from home during this time of the year.

Get it together, they’ve only been gone for 8 hours.
My parents are on their way to Ecuador as I’m writing this. I drove them to the train station this morning and they went all the way to the airport. They got out of Newark and landed in Atlanta, Georgia…Georgiaaaa. (Yeah, I was thinking of the song). And now they might be flying over the south of Mexico.

Some important dates for me in December...
December 1st: Hello, its the first day of December and the first night of Hanukkah. Okay that last part, doesn’t really pertain to me.
December 2nd: Last day of microbiology lab and finding out what bacteria I was identifying.
December 3rd: BLACK SWAN…enough said.
December 4th: Last day of work for me. Smart people are quitters.
